Man... look away for a minute and see what happens. I'm glad you guys are carrying the torch over here... Emergent No was getting to be too much... It'll probably just fade into obscurity...

But here's the thing. The kind of "secondary separation" (you must separate from people I deem unclean, or else I will separate from YOU) that Ingrid is decrying here is EXACTLY what Ingrid does time and time and time and time (and time) again.

David Jeremiah doesn't teach bad things- he just refuses to "separate" from Ken Blanchard, so he must be avoided himself, etc...

Aye carumba...

thanks you for the congrats, russ. i'm very excited. i've also been appointed spiritual advisor to my blog, as well as being a credentialled minister in a non-SBC Baptist denomination. Thank you one and all.

Matt, I've thought that many times. The distinction i believe she made is that the non-preaching/teaching function of women was only to be exercised in the church, of which her website is not really a part. there you go!

The thing I never got about Ingrid was that I'm pretty sure she believed that women weren't supposed to teach men. Didn't Ingrid put herself in a position of teacher/preacher?

I think the "emergents" or one of Rick Warren's underlings agent finally got Ingrid. Either that or a roaming men's dance troupe.;-)

It appears Ingrid is MIA, with nary a good bye. I still wonder who's posting articles at CRN under the name "editor"? They don't answer my e-mails. Maybe Chris R. can tell us.

Maybe that was Ingrid's final bow in the world of blogging.

BTW - congrats Mike Swalm on becoming President of your blog ministry. Me, I'm still waiting for my move to an office with a real-live window... :-)

You're right -- I just checked and I don't see her name.

Man.

Things change awfully fast over there...seems a little unstable. I also don't see a lot of posts by most of the contributors. Strange.

Me, too... I think that is different than it used to be...

If that's the case, is he still the "Spiritual Advisor", or can he just give himself any title he wants (kind of like "President of Apprising Ministries")?
