Let’s be honest, our worship is far less demonstrative than should equate with our beliefs. How can we say we believe we have etrnal life, ETERNAL LIFE , and we blend in society.

The math doesn’t add up.

Rick, my pastor is also about 260, but he’s a six-foot-seven dancing charismatic!

Fortunately, he’s also a very gentle man, and quite a good Biblical preacher (not always easy to find in certain charismatic circles).

Not a big fan of Hillsong, though, although Darlene’s “Shout To The Lord” is one of my favourite worship songs from the 90’s. I lean more towards Delirious and David Crowder, with a dash of that Tomlin guy and some Third Day for tasty seasoning.

My most favouritest worship song of the 2000’s (so far) would have to be Stuart Townsend’s “In Christ Alone”. If we’re not singing that one in heaven, I’ll give the archangel Michael a slap upside the head.

Joe – I really can’t, but I can go there via someone’s links. Even when you’re looking for some creative edification you have to maneuver your way through a lot of blasphemy.

But seriously, how can intelligent students of the Word come up with some of the music style stuff and claim God’s mind on it? Hymns were the praise choruses of centuries ago. And now I will shock all of you.

There is no “worship leader” description in the New Testament so it is non-gender. My absolute favorite worship leader is Darlene Zschech from Hillsong. I am a raving charismatic in worship, a la King David. Just imagine a 6′ 5″, 260 lb. man, dancing before the Lord in the church aisle.

Come on you emergent guys, loosen up. You are a little starchy!
