Is there anything that these people will not scorn? Even someone’s personal lives are great kindling for their verbal conflagrations. The little girl’s father cannot even have a preference in automobiles without being visciously vetted.

It is so sad on so many levels, and these people aren’t satisfied to scold one’s doctrine, or even call creative and demeaning names, no, their personal lives must be pilloried. I have seen it so many times within a congregation.

If someone’s, with whom they disagree, daughter gets pregnant they will say and feel vindicated that they reaped what they sowed. But if it happens to a friend, they are filled with compassion and restoration. It is absolutely non-Christian on every level, and to live your life scouring the information highway for everything and anything negative about the ones you’ve already established your opinion must be a dark and shallow game played out in the dungeon of a loveless heart. And to find fulfillment in that reveals just what you are feeding within.

And all the while they esteem their “ministry” as indespensible and God honoring. As Solomon once observed, and it holds true in these ministries, there is a time to laugh and there is a time to cry.
