Rick,

I play keyboards, as well, though I've not written much in the past 10 years or so...

You also wrote:

No wine or beer for me, my portion can go to Chrsi L.!!

If it did, it would probably go on the shelf next to a gift bottle of wine I got about 9 or 10 years ago (unless it's cooking wine, in which case I'd give it to Suzanne)...

I continue to feel the unity of the Spirit from you, Chris. I love your music, I admire your ministry and heart for the lost, and I agree with your commitment to the Word. Without the blog ditch, we probably could be good friends.

I play the keyboards and write and sing praise music myself. And I am basic chords on the guitar. Send me your address via e-mail and I'll then send you mine and we can share some music? Please, no AC/DC! (ha)

Amen Rick.
I just returned from ministering at a memorial service for one of our "grandmas", as the Navajo call any and all of the elder-women in the Church. She was 93 years young, when she went back to the Father this past Thursday, and after hearing her eulogy and all that she packed into those years, well, I had to reflect. Especially when they talked about how in her early eighties she was playing the saxophone in a Christian music group and would be up at 2:00 a.m. reading the Scriptures and praying over them.
Redeem the time indeed!

I believe that intercessory prayer is probably the most importan thing that the Church is called t and the most neglected.

"if this had been a post on methods, or a personal critique/attack, or a calvin vs arminian thing you would have had 50 comments by now."

Ain't it the truth! It is people like you and me that I know the devil wants to sow discord by blinding us to the overwhelming mountain of things about which we agree. Thank you for remembering this video, many of the people on it were Calvinits and many were Arminian but as you so noted "who cares", we ALL need a sweeping revival the begins with prayer, prayer about ourselves, and when the Spirit arrives repentance begins to break up the fallow ground and all of us fall in broken obedience to the Master and by His Spirit fall in love with each other.

Thanks again, Chris, I have always (well most of the time just like me to you!) been edified by your love for the Word and your heart for Jesus. BTW - your thoughts are more than two cents, and to hear that you lead a Monday night prayer gathering ministers to my soul more than you can know. Keep seeking Him, brother.

Well Rick,
Seeing as I saw that you posted this sometime ago, here is reality; if this had been a post on methods, or a personal critique/attack, or a calvin vs arminian thing you would have had 50 comments by now. But hey who wants a post on revival, or prayer, or a scripture study?
The blogworld needs revival. What I have discovered through much study of the OT for the last several years, is that all revival is preceded by prayer (and repentance) according to what has already been prophecied, and based on what God has already done up that point. There is also a reformation, which is always about a return to the Word not methodology.
This is followed by attending to the works that has been waiting for the church to come and perform it. then there is a revival.
The stories of Nehemiah and Ezra, Daniel, Jehoshaphat etc are replete with this .
I am no "finney-ite" who belive that we can conjure up revival, but we are to discern the times through knowledge of His will and then begin to pray as we never have before. This is the way I lead prayer at our church on Monday nights. It is my approach to leading worship that the intercessory and the prophetic, i.e. praying and proclaiming the Scriptures are part and parcel of worshipping the Lord in song. Anyway my two cents.
I appreciate the video and the change of pace here.
