“Just Because I Call You an Apostate Doesn’t Mean That I Don’t Have Feelings Too!”

Can I just tell you how ironic I find it that our friends at the Online Hysteria Passed Off as Spiritual Discernment ODM’s get so riled up over David Aikmen’s article wherein he (note that Mr. Aikmen does not write for CRN.info) calls one of them “attack dogs.” We’re still having to read articles about it today. Must be a slow news day. Here’s some advice for said ODM’s, “LET IT GO!!!”
I don’t understand, what’s the big deal. You call people terrible names all the time and try to support it with Scripture. Mr. Aikmen makes some observations that you don’t like. What’s the problem?

“You call people terrible names all the time and try to support it with Scripture.”
I agree with half of that statement. When you are lobbing verbal grenades constantly why do you cry over one incoming? Turn lemons into lemonade, call yourselves:
Attack Dogs for Truth (or ADT as we know it!)
Ken was exploiting the major publicity he never deserved…
Blessings,
iggy
Wait now Iggy. This link was posted by the “editor,” so it could have been any of the CRN contributors. Who knows, Jim Lupacchino could have put it up there.
A Christian thinker writes, “Aikman really feels like discernment ministries are wrong to point out doctrinal issues even though we’ve been commanded to be discerning Bereans.”
No Mr. Thinker, Aikman is concerned with this: “websites so drenched in sarcasm and animosity that an agnostic, or a follower of another faith tradition interested in what it means to become a Christian, might be permanently disillusioned.”
There is a huge difference.
Darren
Actually Ken wrote his rebuttal also…
remember this?
“Since Christ gave it to me, then I say, the Lord be praised…. Have these people ever considered that the anger coming through me as a pastor-teacher sent by the Lord just might not actually be my own?” ~ Ken Silva
So as far as stating he is speaking prophetically in this last day when “prophets” no longer are needed (according to supporter of Ken Silva and cessasionist Frank Turk) we find Ken rebuttal is that he is speaking for God so shut up!
LOL!
Blessings,
iggy
Knowing how you gentlemen pride yourself here at CRN.(Mis)Info? of being such erudite researchers…I point out the man’s last name is Aikman.
Ken,
Remember when you told me John Mac does not believe that the Kingdom is only “spiritual” now? and you said “he does not teach that!
Did you listen to this?

Note that you are wrong again?
LOL!
I have other sources that JM states this… do you believe the Kingdom of God is only spiritual now and will come in the future?
Be Blessed,
iggy
Oh if you don’t remember saying anything like this besides here to me… here is another source where you deny the teachings of Johnny Mac!
“The following is really an all too common misconception concerning the beliefs of those of us who believe the doctrines of grace: “because in addition to all those things I also believe in the present reality of the kingdom of God…” So do we.| ~ Ken Silva
So, if Johnny Mac does not believe it is present now… and only spiritual as he tore into Brian Mclaren for… which side are you on?
Be Blessed,
iggy
Thank you brother Ken, from your former friend brother Rick who helped out brother Joe on brother Chris’s blog.
And yet Ken while correcting someones spelling… misses the point and give no real answer.
Blessings,
iggy
Rick McKinley often refers to the Kingdom of God as “already but not yet.” I think this kind of thinking, while confusing, seems to line up with the “conflicting” teachings of Jesus and Scripture.
Come on, Iggy, be thankful for a cup of cold water in Jesus name and with that be satisfied.
Besides, the question you are asking is either ambiguous or I am having a serotonin meltdown or both.
Rick,
It is spread out over two threads sorry!
The question is:
JM teaches that the Kingdom is not now… but is only spiritual now and will come later…
Ken is quoted as saying that he believes it is now… which is what the “The Way of The Master” video lambasted McLaren over for teaching…
So, which is true? Is the Kingdom now according to Ken and McLaren? Or is Johnny Mac right?
Thought it an interesting question if you ask me!
Be Blessed,
iggy
Hey iggy,
Dig this dude: “Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue.”
Please Ken, no more softballs or I will have to swing!
Iggy, your point seems to be more completely understood within the confines of your own serotonin cesspool. Kingdoms now, kingdoms later, spiritual now, unfolding later, lions and tigers and bears…Oh my!
On a side note, Dr. Kennedy went home to be with the Lord today. He was great teacher and a tireless laborer for Christ.
I am very glad to see he also was recognized in the disernment blogs since he was one of the masters of the packaged gosple presentations along with the sinner’s prayer. But God’s grace can use even shallow presentations to bring a sinner to Himself and many, many people were saved under his extended ministry.
Rick,
Actually this “truth war” is not about “truth” but two differing views of the Kingdom of God.
MacArthur asserts that the Jesus failed to bring the Kingdom here and replaced it “spiritually” with the Church.
In that though MacArthur states “it is only spiritual” and ” will come when Jesus returns.
Now, I agree that it is to come in its fullness later, yet it is now as to say otherwise denies the Resurrection…
So, MacArthur lambasted McLaren over this in the interview on The Way of The Master…
Now “cesspool” or not (LOL!) it is MacArthur who is making this distinction… and on that basis is stating that McLaren is denying the “truth” and is a false teacher… this is more than “Brian does not believe in hell and loves them homos and think gay is OK” which still i have yet to have anyone give a credible reference for any of those accusations!
So.. it is a battle of the two Kingdoms…
One that Jesus fails…
Or the one that Jesus triumphs and bring Heaven on earth!
Note this is also how and why the two have such distinct working-out of their praxis… One is looking to get out of here… the other is looking and doing the works of Christ now here and bring His Kingdom to others.
Be Blessed,
iggy
Ken,
it only proves you cannot actually answer a question…
And btw… You are not my Nemesis… you are a brother in Christ… The only Nemesis you have is yourself…
Be Blessed,
iggy
I know, I know. My own cesspool has labeled it as insignificant since there are much more substantive issues than that. That seems a little ethereal and I suspect it is your Christus Victorus theory that comes into play, right?
Rick,
Christus Victorus does not negate the substitutionary atonement… CV is what the gospel of Mark is all about… and it was taught before SA… yet I hold that both views are valid and are taught in scripture… often SA is taught wrongly that leads to the idea of “the abusive Father in heaven”… which is not the teaching.
Yet, this idea of the Kingdom is the core of the “war” that MacArthur is waging. So in that I see it as very significant…
For me the Kingdom of God has had a huge part of my understanding and view of the Gospel and how I live out the incarnation on a daily basis.
Blessings,
iggy
Ken,
I dig it Ken… funny you can’t take your own advise! LOL!
I find it funny when you can’t give an answer, you give a put down or call someone a fool… sad really… imaginary Nemesis’s’ and calling other foolish when you can’t give an answer for your own words!
Blessings,
iggy
