Congratulations probably aren’t in order, but it looks like we’ve made Ingrid’s own personal enemies list.
Our greatest opponents will not be atheists, humanists, agnostics, homosexuals, abortion supporters, evolutionists and the like. The greatest enemies of those who truly follow Jesus will be those from the religious community who will despise your single-minded dedication, your commitment and your refusal to compromise.
From time to time, a stray watchdoggie wanders over here and justifies their own action by accusing us of acting just like them. There’s several reasons why we believe this site does not sink to the level of the watchdoggies. One of the primary reasons is that we don’t consider the watchdoggies to be an enemy to be defeated. We are not attacking the people, we are confronting their tactics and ideas. While sometimes we don’t live up to that ideal, it is what we strive for.
Because the second we consider atheists, humanists, agnostics, homosexuals, abortion supporters, evolutions and watchdoggies to be our enemies is the second that we stop being like Christ, and start acting like the world. Let us always remember that our battle isn’t against flesh and blood, even when those who view us as opponents go to war against our flesh and blood.

When you do not believe Christ died for them then they are enemies. And remember, Ingrid said they were not her greatest opponents, it’s other Christians. It’s called “correction”, Ingid, I believe you’re familiar with the term. I’ll tell you what, some of the ODM’s have to act like the warriors they claim to be without whimpering at the first sign of disagreement.
The martys went singing to the stake, today the self appointed truth soldiers start with the “poor me” whine when someone posts about their posts. Whatever happened to rejoice when you are persecuted? I guess that doesn’t draw sympathy.
In the post you quote, Tim, Ingrid in referring to us (me) says “We are wrestling against darkness that portrays itself as light very effectively.” I am not just wrong, I am darkness. When you immediately play the demonic card you reveal your quiver is filled with the hate you accuse others of.
And then, as is the watchlady custom, she aligns herself with Spurgeon. “Spurgeon who also did fierce battle against those who would pollute the Gospel,”. OK, I’ll see your Spurgeon and raise you John the Baptist. Like playing discernment chess.
I love it, “fierce battle” is defined as running a blog and talking on the radio. You want fierce battle, go to Pakistan or Venezuela or Nigeria. There are those who are in a fierce battle but we are not them.

If I go back and change “enemy” to “opponent” in the second paragraph it doesn’t change much.
One of her visotors left a message saying her site was deleted as punishment from God for deleting his post, which was a message from the Lord.
Sandman – If you go to that visitor’s website you will be completely confused. They claim to be the official and only conduit for Jesus’s headquarters, the City of Truth.

Question. Why doesn’t Ingrid just start “fresh” with “today’s” posts? What would that have to do with having lost the historical database? Sure, it’s an emotional loss but does it prevent anyone from moving forward? Just wondering.
About that ORS stuff… it was pretty frustrating when I posted a few comments (curious as to why Ingrid was so furious at the Attack Dog essay in CT) that didn’t get through on the same day that ORS comments were getting through.
Simple question about Ingrid and Slice. Wouldn’t it benefit the body of Christ if she spent more time investigating things like ORS and less time worried as to whether proposed comments are critical of her ministry?
Assuming that one has a policy dedicated to restricting comments, wouldn’t comments advocating a cult (or whatever ORS is, a joke perhaps?) be at the top of the no-no list? Are self-serving comments really that important?

M.G., that kind of research would take real effort. A caller on Crosstalk chided her one day for being so silent on and uncondemning of the Christian Identity movement. Her response: “I thought everyone would know what it was.” Sure enough, a guest she had on who had compiled a book condemning homeschoolers as fundamentalist hate mongerers lumped CI in with the rest of the Christians. Still no Crosstalk with this as the subject.

I guess it is easier to complain about the style of worship music not being the standard of a secular orchestra/choir than to tackle real apostasy like the Christian Identity movement. Priorities I guess…
Why deal with a movement that is killing people when you can complain about pews versus sofas… which intrigues me as both Ken and Ingrid I understand meet at homes… Now who has a pew in their living room? I mean some people would as decoration I suppose, but who in a house church would pull out their sofa, and replace it with a wooden pew?
Yet, if everyone hasn’t heard that we need to have pews… but everyone has heard about a racist “christian” movement… I wonder if we need a discernment group at all. It seems things aren’t as bad as she thinks… unless you are another Christian who does not beleive like her and for that you are God’s enemy…
Good thing that while we were still enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
