*note* if you subscribed through the itunes link you will receive the first podcast instead of this one. This will fix itslef the next time itunes updates this podcast (it should just be a few hours). I apologize this was completely my mistake.
I think we fixed the audio problems from before. It sounds a lot nicer than it has any right to being done over skype.
Rick and I approach the challenge that’s been brought up several times in the past week: is CRN.info exactly like the people we criticize? Do we differ only in the targets of our attack?

Having listened to the Podcast, it was stated that posts were not deleted. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I recall a post that invited folks that were not regular contributors to talk about their concerns with the emergent church, etc. Almost immediately it seemed like “regular contributors” jumped right in. I made a comment to the effect “that didn’t last long” or something. I don’t recall the title of the post, but I think that post was removed very shortly after my comment appeared. Am I imagining things?
I’m only aware of one post that was removed and one post that was edited. The one that was removed was accidental and was reposted (although the comments were lost) and the other was edited but noted as edited and the reason why.
Perhaps this was before I was reading. Anyone else recall this?
It was fairly recent and I THINK–couldn’t swear in court–Rick was the author, if that helps.
You are mistaken, I never had a post removed. I had one about Chris Lyons being a hypocrite but he wouldn’t let me post it.
No, I never had a post removed.
You guys should introduce yourselves every podcast.
Errr…what I meant was, say things like, “Hi, I’m Tim, I’m this that and the other thing and this is Henry.” That’s what I meant.
I agree with Matt…it would help to know who is speaking…that way we can know who to listen to….and who to ignore…:)
Is it just me…or does Rick sound like the guy who is always the narrator on those audio bibles?
Tim is the guys who opens and I’m the one who chimes in later.
Keith,
I believe there was a post in which the author wrote that he wanted non-regular contributors to answer and that other comments would be deleted. I saw it almost immediately and did an “update” to the post saying that while we can encourage certain folks to answer/comment, we would not delete anything.
After some searching, it looks like it was this post.
No offense meant Rick:)
I am now beginning a fake blog about you, Jimmy. It’s patterned after the Star Wars movie and you will be starring as Darth Vader.
And in bizarre twist, Joe Martino is your son!
Ah, the mystery is solved. It appears that the post I was referring to was originally posted March 21, 2007 and pretty much ceased having any activity around March 24–until August when another commment was added (appeared to be off topic somewhat) which brought it up in the sidebar. The topic caught my eye and I commented on August 30, 2007. Having not paid attention to the original post date or dates of the comments, I wrongly assumed it to be a recent post–hence, my assumption the post had been deleted when I could no longer find it in the recent archive (I couldn’t remember the exact title).
SOOOO…my apologies for my thick-headedness. Many thanks to Chris L for clearing up my foggy memory so quickly.
I’ve got to start watching those posting dates…will that make me an ODDM (Online Date Discernment Ministry) or a “Date Watchdoggie?”
LOL
I checked out Jim’s satirical CRaM.info piece…hilarity.
(in best James Earl Jones voice) Joe…I am your father! Together we can rule the blogoshpere…as father and son!
Don’t worry, Keith, just for your insinuation I’m including you in my fake “Star Wars” blog. You will play the role of “Wookie” and you turn violent because your comments cannot be understood!
Now wait a minute! I don’t mumble…THAT MUCH! 8^)>
A fake Star Wars blog. I will show my nerdiness by saying, “I gotta get in on that one!”
And I will portray you as Princess Leia. You are bossy and regal, and you cannot be compromised by the torture of consistent comment criticism. Eventually you become a cheerleading nun.
In case of any confusion, I am male. Not that that would necessarily change your mind, Rick.
A monk cheerleader!
Rick,
Were you suggesting that Shua would cross-dress as Princess Leia? Unlike you, I am guessing, most of us here did not know Shakespeare on a first-name basis, but they do allow women to act in the theatre now…
Yes, women are allowed to act but not allowed to rebuke Shakespeare!
Father, NO, there is still good in you. There is. I know it!
