This just in, the anonymous coward known only as “editor” has declared that C?N and other watchdoggie outlets to be 100% Christ free. Check it out here.

What’s that you say? You saw nothing of the sort? The problem is that you’re not thinking like a watchdoggie. As we’ve learned in the past merely footnoting a heretic means you agree with that person completely. So I figure if a footnote means you agree completely then posting a video of someone has to mean you’re their disciple, and since Taylor Mali’s mission is education we can only assume that C?N has abandoned Christ is favor of education.

Of course I’m being a bit silly to show how ridiculous the guilt by association arguments the watchdoggies make are. But there was at least one serious point that can be taken from the anonymous coward’s post: C?N has no clue what the e/e churches are all about.

Spare me!
All the contributors to CRN are listed on the site, so take your pick as to which one posted the video.
What’s cowardly is the disingenuous spin you put in all your posts. Selective editing I guess one could call it.

Lies. Ken has repeatedly refused to take responsibility or to answer for posts by the cowardly “editor” on the basis that he didn’t write it.

What’s cowardly is the disingenuous spin you put in all your posts. Selective editing I guess one could call it.

So its not cowardly to post critical opinions anonymously and it is cowardly to post opinions with my name on them, as well as multiple ways to contact me? Sounds to me like you’ve got a real twisted view of the world.

Its also cowardly to habitually post a single inflammatory comment on a topic and then never come back to justify it.

Chris P,

Do you realize you never say anything constructive… you just come and complain and criticize and abuse people?

Just wanted to let you know I notice that…

Ahhhh! The Pyromaniacs speaking my language. I’ve got all kinds of slam poetry for them if they want to see it.

Does this make the ODM’s relevant or man-loving world compromiser’s?

Joke for ya!

What goes *click, click, clack, clack, type, type, blah, blah, blah*

Chris P. doing yet another “drive by comment”.

A shout out to my boy! What up C Pizzle? I ain’t heard from you in a minute! for rizzle. Pull up seat, drop the heat, have a little somethin somethin to eat. Know what I’m sayin? You feelin me?

All that to say; Chris P. dialogue is great! Stick around a thread for a little bit and discuss not just stop in to drop bombs. I know dialogue is tough for my brothers on the other side of the pew but trust me when I say I would love to hear what you really think.

Now get this, I would defend Chris P to the death… to be able to post here… yet it seems a bit futile if he just drives by does his pot shots and “iggy put downs” (LOL!) then drives off thinking it all edifying and productive…

I do appreciate when he adds to the conversation.

Be Blessed,
iggy

i downloaded a Chris Seay podcast once
from when he like, spoke at Mark Driscolls church a while ago, or something. it had something to do with Driscoll, im pretty sure
and he talked about that guy, Taylor Mali
and pretty much quoted Taylor word for word
his point was that those in the emerging conversation need to have conviction, and they need to believe that they actually have something worth sharing with others

Would this show who this “anonymous” editor is?

http://christianresearchnetwork.com/?page_id=9

Eph 4:29-32: “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.
32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”

I sent this to CRN.com also. I’ll be interested to see who, if any, find being obedient a matter to apply to ourselves instead of only pointing out problems in others.

I have decided to break away from reading and or posting on any site that is not wholesome and an encouragement. I have come to realize that this format is not bringing about good things, but causing Christians to be sinful. The time spent reading these things, I can read my Bible and profit. Jesus, in all His criticism of the hearts of men was not teaching us how to look at and point out the sin in others, but is meant to cause us to look at the sin in our own lives.

There will always be false teaching and people in churches that don’t have a clue what being in Christ is. But those of us who do, regardless of which splinter of Christianity we claim to be from, should refocus our thoughts and criticize ourselves and go out in our real lives to edify and encourage. If people have so much sarcasm and have the gift of pointing out the faults in others here, they most certainly do it in all areas of their lives.

This has gone way past profitable discernment.

Would not Chris Lyons’s “no moderation”policy indicate an open comment platform which by definition should be incongruous to the “please don’t comment here” comments? Even the “drive by” comments are covered under the overall policy, unless it has changed.

And I am taking an educated guess that after they comment they still read your replies, so relax, it is of little consequence in the greater picture. If you chase away those who do not comment as you prefer or whose tone is not as palatable as yours, then what good is the open comment policy? Come one and come all, even if you have said you would never comment here again. I have lied from time to time too.

Some thoughts.

Dang Rick, they don’t even let women who have just given birth stay in that long. You must be really hurting. I’ll be praying for you.
