Herescope is reporting on the changes to the ReThink Conference Website. What they have uncovered points yet again to the efforts these people are making to mask their real agenda and the New Spirituality they are promoting. Don’t miss this one and the earlier posts they have on the ReThink Conference at the Crystal Cathedral.

Are you kidding me? If there’s anyone who should never complain about redacted website content its Ingrid. Here we have someone who is on version 3.0 of her website because she “quit” two previous times (the first time, I might add, resulted in the creation of CRN.com as a result of forwarding her traffic directly to it after she came under heavy criticism across the blogsphere). This is someone who, anytime she found herself obviously and objectively on the wrong side of the truth would just disappear the offending post. No apology, no retraction, just a magically disappearing post.

What a ridiculous joke of a methodology. Once again we see that for the watchdoggies its not about what you say, or how you say it, its whether or not you agree with them.

Anyone care to bet on how soon she will allow comments again?

That is another thing she has gone constantly back and forth on.

nc,

Vroom Vroom! I hear he is reloading as we speak!

Jeff,

Paul did not count these in “my” faith… In fact as I have read and prayed I realized Paul stated this about them…

“Galatians 1: 6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7which is really no gospel at all.”

By adding to the Gospel their “works”, they have denied the true gospel and left the one who called them.

It seems that some profess a faith and have yet to possess the faith as they still are under the tutelage of the Law… and have yet to come to maturity in Christ Jesus.

This is what Paul said then, and is still true of those who hold to the spirit of Galatianism today.

Be blessed,
iggy

Any conference sponsered by Schuller should be avoided.

I usually find Herescope pretty well researched.

H.J. I think the issue is less about herescope and more about Ingrids speck/plank issue.

“Galatianism”…thats a new word i’ve never heard of…

Thadd,

Galatianism is adding the Law to Grace… or any rule that adds an “and” to Grace…

Grace and baptism
Grace and pay tithe…

But it can be more subtle like

Grace and repentance…
Grace and sin no more…

Or as in Lordship Salvation… Grace and committing to be a disciple (before even being regenerated) or Grace and calling Jesus Lord… it is again adding the “and” to grace.

it is the “and” that adds works to grace when there is only the finished works of Jesus to save us by His Grace through Faith not of works so that we do not boast. Grace removes the “I” from salvation and makes it all of God and none of man.

Paul spoke of it this way in

Galatians 1: 6-12
6. I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel– 7. which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!
9. As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned! 10. Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ. 11. I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up. 12. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

Also, in chapter 5

1. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. 2. Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3. Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 4. You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.

Ken, Ingrid, Jim Bublitz, Tony Rose John MacArthur and on and on add their rules to the Gospel that gives freedom. They are like the Pharisees who stated, “Follow me and take on the yoke of the law”… This is the same yoke Paul refers to as teh yoke of slavery… it is demanding one own holiness standard on others and viewing not saved if they do not submit to you…

Be blessed,
iggy
