Here.
Just read the whole thing. Everytime I went to excerpt part of it it looked like I was beating up on Calvinists. There’s reminders in there for everyone.

That was a fantastic article written by a Calvinist. I have many Calvinistic friends whose distinguishing features are a hunger for the Word and humility. It wasn’t until I started blogging that I became acquainted with the militant wing of Calvinism.
Thanks, Tim.
My goodness! That was refreshing. I have had those arguments with my wife when 30 seconds in, like the author, I literally feel hopeless. And it’s not about who is right and who is wrong, but about feeling appreciated.
I think “nurturing” should be one of the fruits of the Spirit and I would argue that implicitly, it is. When I combine love with patience and kindness, I find myself being more nurturing.
This article goes way beyond the demeanor of Calvinists. It is equally applicable to Arminians, semi-Pelagians, emergents, and anybody else that has an axe to grind in the public forum.
We should all take a moment to evaluate what we are about to say or comment on against the backdrop of patience and kindness and allow those penchants to bias our delivery of what we consider to be “truth”.
What an article! How true all that is!
Because we’re Christians, and are called to love one another, we have a high responsibility to not just correct one another, but to be mindful of how we look to the world around us.
Is truth paramount? Sure … right up there with love … neither at the expense of the other.
