Here is an excellent perspective posted on CRN.com about the shooting that took place at New Life. It is even in tone, and sensitive to the emotions involved in this sort of thing, and perhaps most importantly stands in stark contrast to the opinion of the general editor of CRN.com. Lets hope we see more of this kind of thing.

Sometimes, even among believers who would not be in agreement with much, God’s providence provides something around which differing believers can warm their hearts together. Such is the double tragedy in Colorado. We may not agree with the doctrinal flavor of the church and/or missionary organization, but we all can enter their grief together at such a time as this.

I commend this post and Paul Walker for speaking his heart and binding wounds.

You should have added a diatribe about Ken or Ingrid to this post, you would have at least 100 comments by now.

Hypocrites.

Chris P.
I feel really bad for you. I’ll pray for you.

Chris P,
Your bitterness is epic.

Why is it hypocritical to point out an area of agreement?

I hear you Neil. I hear you.

Tim Reed:

Didn’t you know?
Epic bitterness is a sign of true righteousness and devotion to truth.

You can’t be faithful unless you’re pissed off

I suggest a moratorium on comments. This post was a kudo to CRN for good comments and getting it right. Rick’s comments were good and then…

I say, let’s not add a string of ugly just because someone started it…

I agree with the OP, and had I been around this evening, I would have written something almost identical. Paul Walker is to be commended for this. If every article on CRN was of this tone, I suspect that a large chunk of the articles on here (the ones dealing with ODM’s) would not exist…

Thank you, Paul, and please ignore the posts between Rick’s and Neil’s at 11:24…

Hey, I was nice. All I said was that I’d pray for him. I meant that.

Sorry, Joe… didn’t mean to diss you there…

You know, if CRN.com booted Chris P and Ken they’d be remarkably credible.

Chris P.,

Peace, my friend, peace. I do not understand the malice and bitterness.

Regardless, I thought this post was thoughtful and a needed call for peace and solidarity. May we see more like it in the future.

Chris P,

Hypocrites.

It seems even when kudos are given and one states one agrees with those at CRN, they are still wrong…

Can you even hear yourself Chris? Can you even see how bitter and angry you are and that it seems to have consumed you? “Sin crouches at your door and wishes to overcome you” my friend… but you can master it by the Blood of Jesus.

Be well,
iggy
