yeah, in my opinion that was a smear campaign not founded in truth. Do you remember when the NKJV or even worse when the original NIV came out? It was the same type of stuff. This summer I did a wedding for a friend of mine. He was married in a KJV only church. They had a ton of tracts about the issues with the NIV. It was the same arguments that I hear people saying against the TNIV only they're "standing for" the NIV or the NASB.
I asked someone one time who was very anti-TNIV if they could show me where the meaning was different. They threw some verses at me, I asked them to explain the difference to me. They said, "well instead of man, it says people" I asked if that really changed the meaning. They came back with, "Well, they're just changing it because of a liberal agenda so that's that. Indeed that is that.

Remember all the "hub-bub" about gender neutrality? I don't see it.

Eugene Peterson THINKS it is…I think it’s packing peanuts.

You know I say the same thing about the KJV...Funny really!

I mean since both are a transliteration and not a translation.

PB,

Iggy,

You call slander, but you do not tell what the slander is, and you do not respond when it is clear that is not slander. You have slandered me by saying I slandered someone who I did not slander, so I don’t appreciate you saying I slandered any one you slanderer.

I back up my stuff with written, noted quotes. You are like Bill Clinton’s defenders when he said I did not have sex with that woman, though there were many evidences that he in fact did have sex with the woman. Just because Pagitt is some sort of emergent sacred cow does not mean he is right. He says he is not a Universalist, but his published books and interviews prove otherwise.

REPENT of your slanderous slandering of a supposed slanderer….

I stated that you misquoted someone and then stated what they did not state... then i showed you what they actually state and you say they are lying...

So that is slander... slander is bearing false witness against another... and i have stated that also... so you are stating falsehood again by stating I have not said what your slander is. I am convinced you do not care for the Truth you think you are protecting nor know the God you think needs protection.

You have a very small god...

FYI - the reason we are both "the temple" and "living stones" is because "you are the temple" uses the plural form of "you"...

I'm sorry to say, Keith...It isn't

It might be in the Message, however! 8^)

PS I broke the 10th and 7th commandment. I coveted your 'emergent' logo and put it on my blog.
