We probably all know now that the apprising site is now back up. I must admit that it was a relief for my own ministry to have it down for a while. It just seems that we will have to contend for truth and a pure faith for a while longer. For the most part I sat back and watched the action on all of this, and was really proud of how CRN.info handled this situation. It seemed that there was a fair assessment of the situation, taking into account both R.A.’s and K.S.’s responsibility in the matter.
Having that said, I find it strange that all of the featured articles on the new apprising site are about raising money. In one post Silva mentions that he is soliciting churches to give him money out of their missions budget. Does Ken really see his work as evangelistic?

Nathan,
Better clean up that language; RA has set a precedent here
On a different note, It is primarily an apologetic and discernment site, which is something the church desperately needs. Anyone who has an ear to hear can hear the garbage that is coming out of todays seeker sensitive, emerging, and revivals. Unfortunately, most do not.
In that sense, Ken is a watchman, warning people not to go after another Gospel. In that sense it is also evangelistic, so that only the pure Gospel goes out from amongst the hodge podge of garbage out there.
Personally, I think it seems all way to coincidental to me. The facts as to why Apprising got taken down is a little fussy to me. It seems a little suspicious.
To me it seems like a written drama so in the end he could plea for money and support. I am glad he is seeing a slump in the support coming in and hope he continues to see one so he will be forced to do a job that involves doing the work of the Lord. Spending your days on the internet researching others so you can be malicious and slanderous is hardly doing the work of the Lord. It is a poor use of the money God has given anyone to use to support Kens ramblings.
I’ve been watching this trainwreck and fact is, BOTH sides are at fault.
PB:
Silva is a “horrid” apologist. There is nothing charitable about the man. Reminds me of me when I learned how to play my first arpeggio. (I’ll leave it to you to figure that out).
I’m no huge fan of Warren, but one thing I do know is that nowhere have I seen him deny an “essential” doctrine of the faith. If you can show me in writing (his words, not a paraphrased ODM version), on audio or video, then I’ll recant that statement.
And LHT’s, they’re MILDLY better.
Want responsible apologetics? Tim Challies, Walter Martin, Ron Rhodes, Norman Geisler, Ravi Zacharias…. Start there.
I study apologetics and after a month at looking at Apprising material I needed to stop. The spirit that comes from Mr. Silva is just not loving to these eyes.
I’m all for apologetics, I’m all for discernment (it’s a valid gift that ALL Christians should ask for)… but it must be done lovingly and carefully, something the self-appointed ODM’s lack. And that is my discernment at work. Take it however you wish.
Peace and Blessings to all.
OK, i’m with you guys up to a point, but this is not cool. Do you guys agree with this?

Kyle,
That’s a parody site run by Iggy (who, despite volumes of comments here is NOT a CRN.Info writer), which often crosses the line of good taste…
Nathan,
Thank you for bringing to my attention that my volunteer tech had inadvertently “featured” the wrong category on AM’s new front page.
In all the fun I’ve been having over the past few days that had escaped my attention. So see, CRN.Info is at least good for something. peace.
