442: You recanted, but you haven't repented it seems.

PB, you should go back and dig a little deeper into the account of Jesus and the woman caught in adultery.

Closely examine what Jesus did.

Go and do likewise.

You really do want to cast that first stone, don't you? If you were living during the time of the Puritans, you'd be the first in line to throw rotten vegetables at someone in the stockade, or lighting that match to burn someone at the stake.

But for what reason? To get them to realize the error or their ways, or to give you a reason to feel that that much better about yourself?

"…the doubt is shrinking and with it the benefit."

Neil - anyone who cannot see the literary violence and destructive verbiage in Ingrid's post leaves me with no doubt, that person has an uncomfortably elevated view of their own divine position and a severely diminished view of their redemptive calling.

“Everyone should be abstinent but it’s just not realistic.”

I can think of a few people who I wish had parents that remained abstinent... ;-)

(ok, that was a bit mean...)

Here is her exact quote _

"Everyone should be abstinent but it's just not realistic."

That qualifies as an 18 year old understanding of a profound issue.

PB,

Just to remove all doubt, let me again quote Bristol Palin.

"Everyone should be abstinent."

Please explain how that excuses sin.

Thanks!

At one time I gave Pastorboy the benefit of a lot of doubt... he pastors a church in the CMA, etc...

But since he became the Repentance Police, exegeting comments for proper word usage, assigning motives, etc...

...the doubt is shrinking and with it the benefit.

You cannot teach abstinence, its impossible to be abstinent. She excused it in the first five minutes of the interview at least twice

What's that sound... oh yeah, the sound of someone ripping a comment out of context.

She didn't say it was impossible... she didn't say it should not be taught...

If dissecting an 18 year old's interview seems to satisfy your need for a self righteous stroking then have at it. People who live in the public eye don't seem to think it strange to give their story on television.

Please forward me a copy of the shame-o-meter that would be acceptable to everyone. And if you require an admission of guilt from an 18 year old that meets all the doctrinal requirements of a sound hamartiology then you are a legalist.
