PB, you know very well that those things you list are not the exhaustive realities of a pastor.

In reality those are activities that are entrusted to leaders who exhibit certain character traits.

Besides, if I have a choice between a mean spirited jerk who may be right about some things or a Christ like kind hearted people lover who may be wrong about some things, I’ll take the latter…since no one has a perfect theology and, in some sense, we’re all heretics in one way or another.

And don’t even go there about me refusing to call him pastor. That office is reserved for people who actually exhibit certain characteristics.

What characteristics are those? Are they like…guarding the flock through proper interpretation of scripture? Would that include making sure your pulpit is filled with those who actually believe the Bible? Would it include a bold witness for Christ wherever one goes? Would one need to know how to interpret Greek or Hebrew properly if they were going to use it?
