Apparently, according to Juice, true love is also anonymous...

How could you be in our little club if we don't even know your name?

I don't think Juice loves me. And I hate these occasional pious little posts.

Juice,

This post isn't about ODM's. Sadly, it's about me. It's about my failure to do the very thing you say I don't do. You are not making any profound insights here when all you are doing is echoing what I have already written and confessed. Therefore, you are dead on. You would know that if you had read what I wrote carefully instead of being so willing to assume that you know what I'm talking about apart from reading. I wrote about the struggle to love those with whom we disagree and those who make our lives difficult.

So, on the contrary, I happen to agree with you wholeheartedly.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

yours,
jerry

"Love one another."

Jerry, does that include Ken Silva about whom you were laughing a short time ago in the comment section? (That was the post about Luther.) Your exact quote was, "Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha".

Yes, Jerry and friends, loving includes your enemies and those you disagree with. Right? You talk a good line, all of you, but there is no evidence that any of you have Christlike love. You tear apart everything that appears on blogs you disagree with, and have since the beginning of this site whose name was ripped off from crn.com as mockery. If ODM's don't have love, why don't you wonderful Christians show everybody what that looks like and shut down this gossip site? The occasional pious little posts do nothing to change what you guys engage in day after day. You are no better than the ones you criticize. Take that from someone who isn't in your club of 6 or 7. Now go ahead and prove me correct in the comment section. And don't say, hey, true love corrects and exposes. That's what the ODM's say.

Lots to chew on. Two immediate comments come to mind. First the silly one:

we have lost two games in the bottom of the seventh inning after tying or leading in the top of the seventh inning

12 years from now, when your relievers are in the Braves bullpen, you can say that you "knew them when".

Now the serious one:

I have to be honest: I’m not there yet. I am a complete failure in that regard.

I think I know what you mean, but actually, the day that you've decided that you are there, that's when you're a complete failure. Thankfully, Jesus loves us incomplete failures.

This post is spot on.
Thanks for vocalizing what we all struggle with.

Wonderful, wonderful post. Even if you dilute love to mean some shllow emotional fondness, I fall short in that. The only time I can say I come close to loving those people is when I am in prayer for them.

I guess that is why we are called to pray always. Good post, Jerry.
