If folks want to discuss the religion of peace and Fort Hood or other topics we’re not covering in our main articles, this is the place to do it.
wonderful. Do you want to transfer my comment over here? No offense will be taken.
I’d prefer to discuss the dog that can play dead.
Interestingly enough, tomorrow morning I am doing a presentation in my diversity class on Arab-Americans. I was going to introduce the topic by discussing Rifqa Bary. Maybe I should introduce it by talking about this new story.
Or maybe I should talk about the dog that can play dead on command.
God what a depressing day.
What were you going to discuss about Ms. Bary? It is a complicated subject; parental rights vs. individual religious freedom. The reality of honor killing in sri lanka, vs. the potential reality of it creeping over to our shores. It also has to do with government intrusion vs. protection of minors. So many ways you can go with it.
The site http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/ deals with this and other realities of Islamic teaching. Thank God that most Muslims are as nominal and do not take the q’uran literally as the nominal christians and the Bible.
I’m not discussing it here whatever it was. Even though this is an open thread. Later.
That dog was dead in tresspasses and sins.
Here’s a news story from the UK on the Ft. Hood incident without the ’spin’ in the US stories…
CT is “reporting” – “News has just been reported that the killer was among Barack Obama’s transition advisors.”
This news source suggests an innacuracy.
Even if this guy was an advisor, what does that have to do with Obama? How disgusting to use a tragedy for political gain. But Mrs. Schlueter will do it again in the future. Remember, “I told you so!!”.
And look how many times he was resurrected…
“And look how many times he was resurrected…”
Every time he said the sinner’s prayer.

Rick, did you notice the “incite-ful” photo included with that story?
#12 – I think the article is now a “no longer exists”. I wonder…
Oh, you meant this post.
I especially love this hand wringing statement, “The Islamists are on the march, and there is virtually nothing to stop them from their goal.”
These are people who say they believe that all power is given to Jesus.
Islamists and liberals and Obama..Oh my! Islamists and liberals and Obama..Oh my! Islamists and liberals and Obama..Oh my!
If the wizard is a wizard who will serve.
Yep. Dorothy’s left Kansas.
Comment #8 – There was a post where CT suggested the shooter was an advisor to Obama. That post no longer exists since I posted comment #8.
But I do love this Paul Reverian statement:
“Wake up, America. The “religion of peace” is at war with the West.”
Someone please tell me how you can constantly suggest that America is apostate, filled with baby killers, filled with gays, and then these are the people who you want to rally against Islam?
How can America, dead in tresspasses and sins, heed any call to wake up? Are we playing a viral game of Risk? If so, I own Australia!
Comment #17 should have been under the “towel heads” post. Sorry.
One of our doxies, we have two, is so dumb she can’t figure out how to catch a tidbit of food on the fly. She just stands there and lets it bounce off her forehead. She’s the first dog I’ve EVER seen that couldn’t master that simple feat!
So, I guess it’s true. Dogs are representative of their owners, eh?
My brother has had two doxies. I have only owned German Shepherds.

“So, I guess it’s true. Dogs are representative of their owners, eh?”
Scotty, don’t be too hard on yourself. Most of us dog owner/lovers don’t dare go there, especially me. I have a poodle mix rescue that’s turned out to be absolutely nuts. There you go!
Well, if dogs are representative of their owners, I’ve got a Mastiff (Moses) and a rescue Pug (Pudge)…
I wonder what that says about me…
#22 – It shouts “double-minded”!

I surely wouldn’t presume to say, Chris, but you must have some serious dog food bills. Where I live we have fenced-in off leash dog parks. My 16-lb. poodle mix took on a 7-month-old mastiff puppy that resembled a Shetland pony. I told you she’s nuts!
In a greater irony, I have a black lab.
Me, a Chihuahua!
awesome
Is it a sin to get a laugh from Peopleofwalmart.com?
If it is, my sons are abject sinners from that alone…
