Is it just me, or does the name of this manufacturer of flame retardant clothing seem a bit ironic?

The only true protest is the gospel, living and spoken. All the rest is no different than shouting at spring breakers about their sins. When Jesus said "If I be lifted up..." He did not mean enumerate the sins of others and they will desire Me. Before we can accurately do that, there must be substantial optic forestry done.

What a powerful testimony to...uh...the....uh...the power...uh...of protests everywhere.

I have officially changed my mind about protests. I will start my protest march today by protesting the current presidential administration and their plans for 'universal' 'health' 'care' and increased taxes and their ongoing raid on my bank account, dietary habits, and my love of trees with a poem.

I protest.
Methinks you protest too much.
I don't care; I resist
The increase of the price of my
Burgers, the ones I want for lunch.

I protest.
Methinks you protest too much.
I don't care; I hate this conquest
Of my hard earned money
By socialists and such.

I protest.
Methinks you protest too much.
I don't care; if I want to invest
My money in burgers, books, or orphans,
I will--it's not theirs to touch.

I protest.
Methinks you protest too much.
I don't care; I divest
Myself of freedom when I do not
Protest against all this government as crutch.

I protest.
Methinks you protest too much.
I don't care. The things I detest
I must march against so I can be the
Hero who came through in the clutch.

I protest.
Methinks you protest too much.
I don't care; the freedom I enjoy cost
Too much for me to sit by silently
While the government eats my lunch.

I protest.
You don't protest enough.
You are right; we must arrest
This onslaught of control, fear, and
Divisiveness; it's going to be tough.

I protest.
You should; I know.
Because we kill the young
By sending them to war.
We kill those who can sing,
Before they are born.
We kill those who are old
Because we are bored.
We kill those who are poor
By taking from them more.

I protest.
I protest this abominable use
Of human beings
To further the agenda of
The enemy.
I protest.
I pray.

*This poem is in no way meant to impugn the current presidential administration or the other fine leaders (Rep, Dem, Indifferent) of our country who are dedicated to the eradication of our personal liberties, bank accounts--the bank accounts we use to do things like feed the poor, care for widows, and adopt orphans--and the preborn, all the while making certain that trees remain standing and terrorists are safe.

Oh, wait. I said at the beginning it was. My bad.

Actually, Christian, he did say that... If he wanted to say "I am a Berliner", he would have left the ein out...

Nations and generations are mesmerized by the jostling of power and land and the rotating personalities that lead countries at certain times. But all the while the timeless work of God's kingdom goes on unnoticed and mostly ignored by fallen men, even though one 8 year old, AIDs infected African girl who comes to Christ is of far greater worth than the falling of a million Berlin Walls.

In short, what's important to man is usually of little consequence to God and His kingdom.
