Love matters.
Without love nothing matters.
All you need is love. (Beatles)
Greater love has no man than this: That a man would lay down His life for His friends (Jesus)
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and love your neighbor as yourself.
Note the order- LOVE God- first and foremost, with all your being. Put Him first, out of that, grows a love for the neighbor.
Hmmm…I checked all the translations of that passage and Jesus never qualified it that way. He just say the “Greatest Two…All of the law is summed up in these”
Yeah, actually, we’re told in 1 John that if we claim to love God, but we don’t love others, than we’re living in darkness. So loving God and loving others have to go hand in hand. Actually, I believe that loving others is a way of loving God. They are His image bearers after all.
