Interesting article on Internet Controversies.
From the article:
The Internet has been a breeding ground for controversy from the start. Part of this is a result of the fact that the Internet is the great neutralizer; it empowers everyone to have a voice.
Emphasis mine.

Amen. The pen is mightier than the sword.
that may be true, pastorboy, but i’d rather be poked with a pen…
LOL Neil, True, though the pen in like the new tongue:
James 3:1
Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.
James 3:5-6,8
So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
1 Peter 3:10
For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit;
Nice, Chris.
For some reason, though, I read your title as “The Great Neuralizer“… Not quite the same, though possibly related.
To the point of the article, though, I’d agree with the adage that “sunlight is the best disinfectant”…
I reject the notion that I have voice on the internet.
I have THE voice on the internet. It’s not my fault very few are listening.
