BtW – I there really was a “Jane Austen Fight Club”, that might be the first time there was a movie with “Jane Austen” involved, where I didn’t fall asleep and come close to slipping into a boredom-induced coma…

The Blu Blu one reminds me of Rob Bell’s theology. Very creative, Sounds intriguing, draws you in and at the end, just a grand waste of time.

most often, when someone criticizes art in a shallow dismissive manner – it says more about THEM than the art.

that is true in this case as well.

the fight club video reminds me of so many so-called christian emergents that are over sexed and soft on homosexuality… even the names of the girls (e.g. lizzie = lesbian, fanny = sodomy, and emma = emasculation) betray this pro-gay agenda.

(hey, this is fun AND easy)

Pastorboy reminds me of Rob Bell in the way he causes me to look at things in a way that I have never looked at them before.

I like that. Thanks Pastorboy for reminding me that good can be found in even the most obscure places. That’s what Rob is good at doing. It’s called hope.

#4 I hope you’re joking. I thought it was a parody and rather funny. You’re probably just joking.

I thought it reminded me of Rob Bell in the way he constantly starts fights with people just so he can lose.

I am thinking seriously of heading to Mars Hill to preach on my east coast trip….See how loving the people really are.

Yeah, PB, that’s certainly following the Golden Rule there. I’m sure you would welcome just any pastor to preach outside your church at anytime. Seriously, you’re more committed to causing a scene than you are to the Gospel.

And making sure you publicize it is a sign of quiet humility. And your swipe at “how loving” the people there are is also self serving since it assumes you are loving.

#9. John Chisham. Do it. The leadership will not care one iota.

Standing for truth requires much more introspection of ourselves than shouting at others. In fact, standing for truth will require two planks and three nails and forgiveness on our lips.
