Eugene lives in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, is married to lovely Annatjie and has two beautiful children. He has been serving in the areas of music and arts at Impetus Gemeente(Assembly) since 2001.

Eugene studied Mechanical Engineering and worked at a steel factory for 6 years. In 1999 he resigned and he and Annatjie enrolled at Hillsong Collegeand studied there for two years. In 2001 they joined Impetus Gemeente where they shared in the joy to see a young church grow, go through difficult times and become a strong vibrant church.

His musical tastes are as wide as the Karoo but what really moves his soul is the Blues. To fulfil his need for playing extended guitar solo’s, and not sleep with the dog every night because of that, he and a friend started a blues band which went through many drummers and bassists and now the Bayside Blues Band is painting Port Elizabeth blue.
